Introductions

www.scape720.com is a resource that is designed to shape and change your perspectives of your city, church, leadership and ministry in the 21st century.

The Potteries Shopping Centre, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent was the inspiration. On the 7th floor of the multi-storey car park there is a parking space labelled 7-20. The 20th space on the 7th floor.

As I parked my car at 7-20, I looked out and saw my city from a different perspective. I have always viewed my city from ground level or on a map. From this position, 7-20, I saw it from a different perspective.

'That is it', I thought.

Much of the significant acceleration, development and phenomenal growth that Bethel City Church is experiencing is birthed out of perspective.

When Becky and I moved to Stoke-on-Trent in September 2007, the main auditorium seemed huge, especially on our first Sunday with 62 people.

18 months later, a recent City Gathering (which are SO exhilarating, passionate and really something to experience) Bethel City Church broke the 400 barrier for the first time. Our newly refurbished auditorium seems to be getting smaller. Our perspective has changed.

Perspective channels and shapes practice, momentum and activity. If you think it can't be done, then you'll probably be proved right. If you aim at nothing, then you will probably succeed.

www.scape720.com is a thoughtful, provocative stimulant that will bring challenge and change.

Your landscape can change.

If you are prepared to reposition yourself and see from a different perspective, the future may pan out far more expansive than the past.

In the beginning God said...

He is still communicating today!

Enjoy your journey of discovery.

First things first

It is worth considering that a major difference between God and mankind is that God always fulfils His word and mankind often fails to deliver.

The comical thing is that mankind seems to have a lot more to say than God.

Maybe mankind should listen more to what God is saying to His church today?

Maybe...

Maybe God is desperately trying to communicate to us that from His perspective, we have to reposition ourselves in order to move on?

'You've stayed long enough at this mountain. On your way now. Get moving.' [Dt 1:6,7 TM]

Maybe there is more to church, leadership and ministry than we can see? Maybe it is worth a journey of discovery.
